A Flex Pass is a block of prepaid spa hours. Six hours cost $600, twelve cost $1,140. Nothing recurs, no card sits on file, and the hours are yours to split with your partner, spend on a friend or hand over as a gift.
Bought once. Transferable. Nothing to cancel.
What you are buying
You pay once for a set number of hours. Those hours sit against your name at the desk, and you draw them down whenever you book. A 60-minute massage takes one hour off the balance. A 90-minute massage takes an hour and a half.
There is no monthly charge, no card kept on file, no minimum term and nothing to cancel later. If you go three months without coming in, nothing happens and nothing is taken.
The part that catches people by surprise is the sharing. The hours are not tied to you personally, so your partner can use them, your visiting mother can use them, and you can buy a pass purely to give away. A membership will never do that, because a membership is personal and recurring.
The prices
Two sizes of spa pass, and two acupuncture passes counted in visits rather than hours.
| Pass | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Spa hours | 6 hours, working out at $100 an hour | $600 |
| Spa hours | 12 hours, working out at $95 an hour | $1,140 |
| Acupuncture | Six 30-minute visits | $600 |
| Acupuncture | Twelve 30-minute visits | $1,080 |
The twelve-hour pass saves $60 against the six-hour rate. If two of you are splitting it, twelve hours is six visits each and the cheaper rate applies to both.
Acupuncture passes
Acupuncture works on a course rather than a single appointment, so its pass is sold in 30-minute visits: six for $600, or twelve for $1,080.
Your first acupuncture visit costs $100 and is not included in either pass. That session is longer, because it covers the intake, your history and a treatment plan before any needles go in. Budget for it separately.
The acupuncture passes and the spa hourly passes are separate products. Spa hours do not pay for acupuncture, and acupuncture visits do not pay for a massage.
The fine print, in the open
Read this before you buy. It is the part that decides whether a Flex Pass is the right shape for you.
A facial series runs out one year from the date you buy it. No expiry date is stated for the hourly Flex Passes, so ask the desk to confirm the current terms in writing when you pay, and keep the receipt.
Tell the desk you are on a pass when you book and the time comes off your balance instead of your card. You can check what is left at any visit, or call and ask.
Side by side
A Flex Pass suits a household, a gift, or a run of months you cannot predict. A membership suits a steady habit, because it adds a 10 to 20% discount on everything else you book.
| Flex Pass | Membership | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | Once, up front | Monthly, on a card |
| Card on file | No | Required |
| Who can use it | Anyone you like | You only |
| Can it be gifted | Yes | No |
| Ending it | Nothing to cancel | Fee may apply |
| Off other services | None | 10 to 20% |
| Entry cost | $600 | $80 a month |
| Rate per hour | $95 to $100 | $80 to $135 a month |
If you come in once a month like clockwork, a membership is cheaper. If you come in bursts, or two of you are sharing, the pass wins.
Before you buy
No. You pay once for a block of hours and that is the end of the transaction. No card is kept on file, nothing recurs, and there is no agreement to cancel later.
Yes. The hours are transferable, so your partner, a friend or a family member can spend them, and you can buy a pass purely as a gift. This is the main thing a Flex Pass does that a membership cannot.
No expiry is stated for the hourly passes on the current terms, while a facial series expires one year from purchase. Ask the front desk to confirm the current expiry terms in writing when you buy, and keep the receipt.
Massages of any length, IV therapy, and facials that do not have a series of their own. Facials sold as a series and anything with its own series or flex pass are excluded.
$100, and it is not included in either acupuncture pass. That first session is longer because it covers your history, an assessment and a treatment plan before treatment starts.
An hour and a half. The hours come off in proportion to the length you book, so a 60-minute massage takes one hour and a 90-minute massage takes one and a half.
Yes. They are separate products and neither one blocks the other. Ask the front desk which one to bill against when you book, because a membership discount and a pass balance are applied differently.
