Permanent makeup places pigment into the skin to build a brow that does not wash off. At C3 Wellness Spa in Raleigh, microblading is $450 for a three hour appointment with a licensed permanent makeup artist, and it holds for a year or more before it needs a touch up.
Because it is a tattoo, nothing is booked cold. Every treatment starts with a 30 minute consultation where the artist maps your brows, checks your skin and agrees the shape and colour with you. What you pay for the consultation is credited against the treatment you go on to book.
People come to it for sparse or uneven brows, brows missing the inner or outer half, scarring, and hair loss from alopecia, thyroid conditions or chemotherapy. It also helps anyone who finds a brow pencil hard to use because of unsteady hands or poor vision.

Microblading is the only one with a published rate in the booking system so far. Call and the front desk will quote the rest before you commit to anything.
Microblading draws individual hair strokes with a fine blade, so it reads as hair rather than makeup. Microshading builds a soft powdered fill, which suits oily skin better and holds its shape longer. The combo puts strokes at the front of the brow and shading through the body of it, which is what most people picture when they say they want natural brows.
Before you book
Permanent makeup is finished across two appointments. The first builds the brow. A touch up four to seven weeks later corrects anything the skin pushed out as it healed, and that second visit is what makes the result look settled rather than new.
After that, a touch up every year or so keeps the colour where it was. Touch up pricing depends on how long it has been, which is why there are three of them on the list.
If you have permanent makeup from somewhere else that you want changed, the corrective lightening treatment is the starting point. It is priced per session and usually takes three or more, and the consultation will tell you roughly how many.
